Dr. Kevin Murray has been practicing in Charlottesville and Waynesboro since 1990. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has a special interest in treating athletic injuries of the foot and ankle, surgical reconstruction of bunion deformities and heel pain.
Dr. Kevin Murray is well versed in the treatment of plantar fasciitis having suffered this years ago, eventually treated with a surgical release. He now has at his disposal EPAT (Shockwave Treatment) which prevents most patients from ever having to consider surgery.
Dr. Murray is an avid skier, mountain biker and new to the practice of yoga. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 30 years, Tamara, son Jack and daughter Ryann.

He did his internship at Cedar Valley Podiatry, Waterloo, Iowa. He completed his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Foot/Ankle Surgery at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Mountain Home, Tennessee.
Dr. Murray is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in foot surgery. He is a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, member in the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, Virginia Podiatric Medical Association and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.

I've seen Dr. Murray for more than 15 years, for a variety of foot and ankle issues, including a bunionectomy, over a decade ago which was completely successful. Dr. Murray always takes time explaining the nature of my problem and working with me to understand next steps, including when and how much to exercise versus rest and so forth. He also patiently answers my many questions.
