Dr. Pica is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and a Certified Wound Specialist by the American Board of Wound Management. He focuses on comprehensive management of foot and ankle conditions, but also holds research and surgical experience. His surgical experience includes a variety of pathology such as foot and ankle trauma, arthritis, deformity, and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Pica has clinical research experience in the management of critical limb ischemia.

Dr. Pica believes that patients deserve to have information necessary to make good choices about their foot and ankle care. His goal is to educate each patient and provide the highest quality of care in each individual’s treatment program.

  1. Thank you Dr. Pica! I have been virtually pain free for the past two weeks, which is AMAZING, as I have been struggling with this foot pain for 2 years without resolution. It is wonderful that Dr. Pica spends quality time with me, actively listens, and shares the prognosis and action plan in understandable terms. Dr. Pica is super kind, engaging, and genuinely interested in how I am feeling.

  2. I have been struggling with my foot issues for 2 years with little to no relief. I have been to another foot doctor, tried 5 different types of insoles and nothing worked. After meeting with Dr. Pica, I finally have a diagnosis and a solution that immediately gave me relief in my apt. I am hopefully that I am finally on the right path to recovery, as I am very active and want my feet to remain strong and healthy.

  9. Dr. Pica was very good. He identified my foot problem and offered options to take care of it. He was kind and professional.

  10. Dr. PIca has been terrific. He is aggressively treating my plantar fasciitis and has given me hope that we will continue working until it is completely resolved. Until I came under Dr. Pica's care, I was resigned that this would be a chronic condition for the rest of my life. So far, every tool/therapy/suggestion he has made has improved the situation. I especially appreciate that he is willing to take as much time as he needs with me in the exam room. I know how doctors' offices work and know that a longer visit with me may put him behind for the rest of the morning. And indeed the first time I saw him, I had to wait for a while in the exam room while he finished an earlier appointment. But I quickly realized that it was because he takes his time with each patient. For that kind of attention, I'm willing to wait happily until he has finished with the appointment before mine. On my second visit, there was no wait at all. And on both occasions, he never gave me the sense that he was rushing through our visit and impatient to get on to the next appointment. I appreciate that more than I can say.

  12. My first visit with Dr. Pica two days ago was a positive one. He seemed to be so caring and helpful at that time. My former doctor (an orthopaedic surgeon with whom I had been a patient for over 20 years) has closed his practice and I was desperate to find someone to take his place. I have a very unusual foot problem and I feel like Dr. Pica will be someone who can help me continue with my very active lifestyle - I'm 73 years old. I'm very encouraged (after only seeing him just one time!)

  13. The only negative was the requirement to fill out 4 pages of information on paper forms, uhh!! Too bad this requirement couldn't be done online prior to the actual office visit then just have me verify and sign the forms at the time of the office visit. It is soooooo annoying to sit there for 15 minutes writing the same info onto 3 or 4 different forms!

  14. A lot of paperwork to fill out, again. Sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes before being called back to the examination room.

  15. All members of the staff were friendly and very kind to me. Dr. pica was great and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a foot doctor.

  17. They are wonderful. I also want to say something about the staff at the front desk. They are wonderful also. They are so helpful and they are also pressed for time. I am serious when I say that I hope they are paid enough. Enough! Give them a raise. Good front desk help is hard to find. Better take care of them!
