Dr. Brian Futrell, DPM, is a 1999 graduate of the Kent state school of podiatric medicine and surgery in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Futrell completed his first podiatry internship with University hospitals Cleveland before completing a three-year podiatric surgical and reconstruction residency program at Henry Ford hospitals Detroit, where he was chief resident his senior year. Both in his training and practice, Dr. Futrell focuses on reconstructive surgery, Diabetic wound care, and limb salvage as well as sports medicine and Trauma.
Dr. Futrell is Co-Chair of the Wakemed Limb Salvage initiative with Dr. Sid Rao of Wakemed heart and vascular. Dr. Futrells’ passion and caring bedside manner continue to augment his significant experience and training, allowing him to see and manage even the most complex foot and ankle concerns.
Dr. Futrell is Board certified in both foot and ankle surgery as well as wound care.
Dr. Futrell lives with his family in the Triangle, where he enjoys the outdoors, live music, and the local craft beer experience of North Carolina.
