The paper was published in this month’s Anticancer Research Journal. The case report involved a patient who was treated in the FASMA Wheaton division office, with surgical excision performed in its in-office Joint Commission-accredited ambulatory surgical center. FASMA employs it own pathologists, enabling a prompt diagnosis of the tumor. The article includes a literature review of dermatofibromas, which rarely occur in the foot, and emphasizes the importance of obtaining an accurate histopathological diagnosis.
