Dr. Firestone specializes in sports medicine and well as the surgical and non-surgical correction of foot and ankle disorders. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in foot surgery. He is also board certified in sports medicine.
Dr. Firestone is an avid runner and competes in many local and regional races. He has run multiple marathons, including Boston, NY, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Marine Corps. He is an RRCA certified running coach with Montgomery County Road Runners (MCRRC) Experienced Marathon Program (XMP). He is master runner with the the MCRRC racing team.
Dr. Firestone was recognized by his peers and colleagues in the ‘Washingtonian Magazine’ as one of DC’s top sports medicine providers and as a top DC Podiatrist. He was also recognized by his fellow runners as best doctor by ‘Run Washington Magazine.’ Dr. Firestone has been practicing in the the Washington DC area since 1994. He and his wife Sheryl live in Montgomery County with their 3 children.

This was an excellent experience overall. The doctor and his staff were so accommodating, especially considering that I confused my appointment time and arrived an hour late. Everyone was very kind and informative and even funny [...]. Dr. Firestone was patient, easy to understand and took the trouble to explain what ails my foot. I feel extremely confident in his care.
