Dr. Urja Shah was born in India and moved to the United States at the age of five. She is a native to Greenbelt, Maryland where she has lived most of her life. Thus, was very excited about her return to Maryland to serve patients in her hometown when she joined the Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, LLC along with being an active surgical staff member at Doctor’s Community Hospital. Dr. Sana Shamim was raised in different parts of the world. She returned home to Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland College Park. She then obtained her medical degree at the Temple University School of Podiatric medicine. She graduated with academic honors from University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She completed her podiatric medical studies at Temple University, School of Podiatric Medicine.
