David J. Freedman, DPM, and Seth A. Rubenstein, DPM, of Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, LLC attend annual “TED”-style healthcare conference

On November 9, 2015, Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, LLC (“FASMA”) podiatrists David J. Freedman, DPM (Silver Spring Division) and Seth A. Rubenstein, DPM (Reston Division) attended the annual Quality Talks event, presented by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), at the Knight Conference Center at the Newseum in Washington, DC.  The event was held as a celebration of NCQA’s 25th anniversary. Drs. Freedman and Rubenstein joined with other health care leaders and policymakers to listen to and interact with several compelling “TED”-style talks from innovators in the healthcare field. The speakers’ topics ranged from the need for patient advocacy, to telehealth, to analyzing social needs as well as physical needs to improve health.

FASMA began to pursue NCQA’s newest recognition program, Patient-Centered Connected Care™ Recognition, earlier this year, which will award seals to sites that meet the following standards: Connecting with Primary Care Physicians/Providers, Identifying Patient Needs, Patient Care and Support, System Capabilities, and Measure and Improve Performance.

FASMA has 24 locations throughout DC, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania.  For more information on Drs. Freedman, Rubenstein, and Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, and to find a location near you, visit our website.
