Dr. Gina Saffo is diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, past Secretary and current member of the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association, and past President and current member of the American Association for Women Podiatrists. Doctor’s Community Hospital, Lanham, MD-Chair of the Podiatry Department- 2000-2008.
Dr. Saffo has been active with the Temple Alumni association and was instrumental with Dr. Janet Bechtel to form the Lynn Catapano Scholarship fund in 1993 and is still active with the fund to obtain donations – in 2016, a full fledged donation pledge drive was held to coincide with the 30 year reunion of the class of 1986 from Temple University School of Podiatric medicine.
Dr. Gina Saffo is an active member in the community, volunteering with various organizations, including the Outreach Program at Doctor’s Community Hospital. She has resided in the community since 1988, with her husband Robert, of 30 years, and their two young adult children, Andrew and Jessica.
Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, PA, 1986. BS, Biology - Allegheny College.
PSR-24 residency of podiatric surgery, at the Podiatry Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania 1986-1988.
Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in foot and ankle surgery; Certified Wound Specialist at the Doctor’s Community Hospital’s highly regarded Wound Care Center.
