On October 9, 2015, Dr. Howard Osterman of Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic’s Silver Spring/Fenton, DC-Eye Street, and Chevy Chase/Barlow Divisions, participated in Project Homeless Connect. The event served as a one-day resource fair for participants to access legal services, employment services, podiatry, medical and dental checkups, housing services and more – services that might normally take weeks or months to obtain. Dr. David J. Levine Featured in Podiatry Today

Dr. David Levine (Frederick Division) was recently featured in Podiatry Today, an “award-winning, premier publication that emphasizes informative clinical features and columns as well as practice management articles.” Dr. Levine’s article was titled “Pertinent Principles with Orthotic Therapy” and was featured in the Volume 28, Issue 9 edition of the publication. In the article, Dr. Levine discussed the importance of selecting materials based on the patient’s needs. “The key is to understand your patient’s biomechanical situation as well as possible prior to selecting the orthotic that will work best,” he explains. Leading Foot & Ankle Medical Practice Sponsors Local Race

Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, LLC (“FASMA”) doctors and staff came out early on Sunday morning to show their support for runners on September 13, 2015, at the annual Parks Half Marathon in Bethesda, Maryland. Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, LLC podiatrist Danielle Venegonia, DPM (Rockville/North Bethesda Division), recently presented to the community at the Holiday Park Senior Center in Silver Spring, MD on July 21. The presentation was part of Suburban Hospital’s Senior Programs.  Dr. Venegonia’s lecture was titled “Your Arch Enemy” and discussed common foot problems and how they can affect mobility and comfort. Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, LLC podiatrist Howard Osterman, DPM (Silver Spring/Fenton, DC-I Street, and Chevy Chase/Barlow Divisions), was recently featured in an NBC News segment on the pain and discomfort caused by wearing high heels.  Dr. Osterman said heels “put pressure on the nerves and cause burning and pain, especially with long-term wear.”  The segment discussed a new shoe designer focused on creating more foot-friendly heels in hopes of easing the pain.  To watch the entire segment, please click here.
