Dr. Erika Schwartz is the Scientific Conference Chair and a past President of the American Association for Women Podiatrists. She currently serves on the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association executive board and is a resident educator at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, where she has received the ‘Teacher of the Year’ award. Dr. Schwartz was recognized by her peers and colleagues in the ‘Washingtonian Magazine’ as a top DC Podiatrist. As an American Podiatric Medical Association spokesperson she has been featured throughout multimedia, including the Washington Post, Prevention Magazine, and DC Channel 5 News.
Dr. Schwartz is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery. She is on the medical staff at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Sibley Memorial Hospital, Glen Echo Surgery Center, and Massachusetts Avenue Surgery Center. Dr. Schwartz is originally from Long Island, New York. She and her husband now reside in Montgomery County, Maryland, with their two children.

Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, 2002.
Completed three years of surgical residency training at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, where she was Chief Resident in Podiatric Surgery.
Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in foot surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

I was a first-time patient here but everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the front desk to the assistant to the doctor. I get nervous going to the doctor's but I felt extremely comfortable in this office with everyone and felt that everything was explained very well to me. The visit was very quick and prompt as well and I would recommend them to anyone else to go to for any foot/ankle issues. The doctor was great and I can see why she has such great reviews everywhere online, I will be another one raving about her as well!
